The restaurant La Terrasse is a partner of the “Trophées des Sportifs” (“Sportspeople’s Awards”) organised by the town of Bayeux. This yearly event honours the best sportsmen and women, clubs and volunteers from Bayeux. Eleven awards will be presented during this musical evening, hosted by the town of Bayeux and Radio VFM.
The 11th edition will take place on Thursday 28 September 2023 at the Halle ô Grains. The awards will be presented by cyclist Kevin Vauquelin.
Kevin is a professional athlete in the Arkéa-Samsic team and the first Bayeusain to sponsor the event. The 23 years old was born in Bayeux. Since his first year as a junior in 2018, he regularly ends up on the rostrum. After a brief spell with Chambéry CF, he returned to Normandy in 2020 and joined the VC Rouen 76 team. He came seventh in the road men’s time trial at the 2022 European Championships. In 2023, he won the 55th Tour des Alpes-Maritimes et du Var and went on to win the 18th edition of the Tour du Jura.
