La Terrasse is 8 minutes’ walk from the Cathedral and 12 minutes’ walk from the Bayeux Tapestry.The Chef prepares traditional French cuisine, made with fresh, regional ingredients, carefully selected from local producers. All menu and à la carte dishes are homemade and showcase seasonal produce. Several preset menus are available. You may:

Enjoy the menu of the day, from € 13 to € 16.50, served in the brasserie for lunch from Monday to Friday, except bank holidays.

Space for larger groups

TOURISM

20 to 60 guests can be accommodated in the restaurant. Special menus for larger parties are available. The city of Bayeux draws tourists from all over the world who visit its 11th century tapestry, listed on the UNESCO’s Memory of the World Register. It boasts an exceptional architectural heritage, including its Cathedral, first consecrated in 1077 in the presence of William the Conqueror, Duke of Normandy and King of England. Bayeux also took on a particular historical significance during the WWII Battle of Normandy due to its location on the main road to Paris and a few miles away from the landing beaches.

Seminars, team building events are regularly held around the city of Bayeux, situated in the Calvados department in Normandy, a destination for business tourism. Should you be looking for a restaurant, our Chef can create tailor-made menus to suit your specific needs. Our premises have facilities to cater and offer space for events of up to 40 people.

Need to top up your vitamin quota with a freshly made salad?
Discover the brasserie selection, outside on the terrace or inside: a “Caesar salad”, a “Salade biquette” (“kid goat” cheese based), or even a “Salade Meuuhhh” (“Moooo!”), distinctly inspired by Normandy with its camembert crispy bites.

Burgers

Come and explore our imaginative burger recipes, freshly homemade with a selection of varied ingredients: the “Viking”, “Duke William”, or “Queen Matilda”, named as a tribute to the city’s cultural and historical heritage.

Our burgers are served with homemade chips.

Pizzas

Our pizzas are homemade with fresh ingredients, including the dough kneaded with flour supplied by the Deslandes flour mill, founded over 130 ago in the Suisse Normande.

Bar and Terrace

In the heart of Bayeux

The bar and terrace of more than 100m² are ideally situated to enjoy the summer sunshine from 11h30am till late. They are open Monday to Saturday for a quick coffee, an ice cream, or a homemade cocktail.

The Menu of the day and brasserie menu dishes can be served on the terrace for a delightful outside meal. Come and relish an apéritif among friends at La Terrasse, in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. This popular spot is appreciated for its sheltered location in Bayeux’s historical centre, a stone’s throw from the main shopping street.
